Red Cross depends on
volunteers to help
deliver its many
programs and
services to the
community.

Lifeline Installers
Volunteers are
needed to install
American Red Cross
Lifeline systems in
the San Juan County
area. All
training will be
provided.
Local Disaster
Action Team
Respond to local
disasters and
provide emergency
assistance to
victims (shelter,
food, and clothing)
and canteen service
to emergency workers
at the scene.
Daytime, evening and
weekend rotations
available. All
training provided.
Volunteer
Caseworkers
Provide casework
services to military
personnel and their
dependents through
telephone or
personal contact.
Assist refugee
families in locating
and communicating
with loved ones in
other countries.
Good communications
skills needed.
Daytime, evening and
weekend rotations
available. All
training provided.
HIV/AIDS
Instructors
Educate the
public about
HIV/AIDS issues.
Instructor training
involves 16-hour
course in two-day
sequence which
covers facts,
psycho-social issues
and teaching
strategies. Call for
instructor training
schedule.
First Aid/CPR
Instructors
Teach lifesaving
skills to adults
and/or children.
Bilingual
instructors and sign
language
interpreters for the
hearing impaired
urgently needed. All
training provided.
Clerical Support
Assist with light
typing, filing and
basic data-entry.
Weekdays, flexible
hours.
